It's not really goodbye.

I thought this post deserves more details than what I usually do...
Sunday- after the district conference, we traveled to Davao and dropped Elder Perez off the airport. Went to Tagum, yes you read it right, my lovely Tagum. Saw several of my most favorite people and slept in the sister's apartment. With Sister Distrito. :D I will  make add anymore, you know what happens next. Happy times.
Monday- President Torres picked us up and a few more sisters on the way. The office elders are the best and the kindest too. Haha they probably have a perfect understanding already of how we feel. No, not really haha
Tuesday- Career workshop. Then a devotional with President Torres... mixed emotions. Our orientation was like only yesterday, why are you sending us off already? It was very spiritual and again, bittersweet. He is like a father sending us to the real world. Of all the wonderful counsels he gave in the interview and the meeting, these too stood out. Mission is not the crowning event in a gospel life, it's temple marriage. Telling us to apply what we learned in the mission and seek for higher ordinances in the temple. Second, he truly truly loves us
Wednesday- overwhelming feelings. I am ready to go home but leaving was hard. Last mission moments with sisters I really love was precious. Im eternally grateful of eternal friends.I knew I was surrounded with missionaries who had done their best. And are determined to do their best after. The travel and the airport is like a surreal for me. I was consumed with happiness and gratitude.
In other news, I did not get to enjoy the travel because I was unbelievably sick! Sister Distrito sure was very patient and kind to take care of me. :D

District Conf, ELder Perez and Goodbyes

Last week in the mission. It seems like it was only yesterday when I first came in the mission. Yes, I will use that phrase too because it's so true. Sister Guevarra is the sweetest companion. She planned well to give me such a wonderful surprise home evening in one of the members house. She sang my favorite EFY song too "What Heaven Sees In You" What made it very special is Shalum. I think during these I was in a little denial about going home haha because it will make me sob. Shalum made me cry though. It's one of those special moments when an investigator prays about you and hear it right from them. It was amazing. (and by the way I just knew last week that she was baptized already)
4 zones - 4 district conferences. I don't know if that happened to all missionaries but it happened it me. And guess what, my last Sunday in the mission is conference. Elder Perez was there. What a beautiful Sunday. We joined the choir. Music invites the spirit and that made me sit in the pulpit which was nice because then I can see everyone. You know, just look around and see everyone's faces. It was bittersweet because you don't really know when you will see them again.
Oh, and the funny part. President Torres decided to drive us down to Butuan. Yay! So since we will go with him, we had lunch together. With Elder Perez of the area seventy. With a special witness of the Lord in one table and talking does not happen very often in the mission. Plus plus plus... since Davao airport is nearer than Butuan we went to Davao too. haha Again in a car with a special witness. Okay, enough said. But really I should improve on my start-a-conversation skill. :D

Last week was intense. The people are loving. Packing was easy. Saying goodbye was hard.

MIssion Tour

I am Abraham's granddaughter. Something beautiful I learned from the mission tour with Elder Bowen and his wife. We made it to San Francisco stoked and happy in spite of the long travel from Mati. 1st reason, its my 2nd mission tour in the mission. Wait that is redundant. Haha but yes. 2nd, I love San Franz! It feels like coming home. Elder Bowen is real. I mean he is a special witness of the Lord. Right in front of you. Telling you that he loves you. He talked about his sweetheart very tenderly. He talked about goals and planning and obedience which I loved but what stood out is the doctrine behind them that he made a highlight of. "Know who you are and act accordingly." Isn't that beautiful? Undestanding who Abraham was and is? Who is the House of Israel and where is your place in and for the gathering? Isn't it just amazing to know who you are and the promises made to you? It is beyond word wonderful. What's even more wonderful is the sweet spirit you feel that you can do it. You can be obedient and show your Heavenly Father that you are his child and is a descendant of Abraham. He promised to you. And you promised to Him. You will know for sure that you can act accordingly because you were created to return to Heavenly Father's presence. I feel so much happiness and gratitude while writing this. My writing would be all understatement.

SG, the best.

Met some members in San Franz again. Oh how I missed them. Saw my branch president and several other more but was not able to take photos with them.

This was week 79 or 80 I think. I didnt care. It felt like I wasn't going home.
