Week 73: San Franz Throwback

Hi family!
I hope you had a wonderful week. But most of all I hope you know how much I love you. The article I wrote for Mama was published in our newsletter together with the write up for our Christmas conference. I am sending you the newsletter. Enjoy reading! :))
Jaymar did not make it to church nor did we meet with him because of his demanding schedule. It was sad :( The better part is he too was sad about it. That is a good indicator right? He reads the Book of Mormon and pray often, now we have to focus on how to bring him to church again and experience the sacrament meeting. :)
We had exchanges again yay! It is refreshing to be on exchanges again without myself being the training leader. I worked with Sister Azores in their area and we had a productive time in finding and teaching. The result is I became more excited about the training of Sister Guevarra's training. She is graduating soon. She is great and bubby so training was never a stress.
We planed right and well in San Franz. Remember Dandil and the Maglinte couple? Dandil's baptism was moved after the transfer and so was Maglinte's. Guess what? The Maglinte just got married and the 3 of them was baptized all the same day! Sister Distrito was kind enough to send me photos and tell me about their wedding and baptism. Very happy! I love being a missionary!
I miss you all and your stories. Make a wonderful week ahead!

Week 71-72: Hey!

Hello family and friends,
You know those stories returned missionaries told us about creepy apartments and scary mission stories? Well, I am hearing them again here. About our very own apartment! I was brave until the the other sister companions left the two of us in the apartment for 2 nights. I am such a scaredy cat and so is Sister Guevarra haha Nothing felt too odd so far haha Anyway that might not be too important. This last two weeks were spent getting to know the member more. Im glad about the initiative of the branch missionaries. I felt more at home with their help on and off proselyting. And seriously, the prospective missionaries here are "way to go!" when it comes to working with  us. I can't complain. I love it!  I had my first district and zone training meeting. It went okay. I guess I am still in the adjustment period and I am excited to get over it, enjoy the new assignment and area and work hard. I love love love training! SG is the best.. she's been sharing a lot about working with their missionaries back home and she is just ready. Learning starts from the preparation. This sister knows how to do it. So the area is a little diffrent from my previous areas. Sweet waters, yes.. sea! I get to see a lot of waters. Just see because you know, we are not allowed in waters. There is always safety in obedience. It's nice though just having to see the beautiful nature everyday.

Week 70: Hello 2015! Hello Mati!

Hello everyone! So it' transfer week again. It was a little bit crazy compared to the previous transfers because it rained so hard and landslide happened again in Bayugan. So the missionaries travelling to BUtuan were stranded and had to stay in San Franz. So yeah. It was great to see a bunch of sisters in a little apartment. So anyway I got transferred, had to travel 31st of December! To Mati! Prolly 7hr bus ride from San Franz. It was abrupt and yet I expected it a little already. It was bittersweet leaving compie and sweet San Franz. 6 months alright.. I heard other mission's longest is 3months. I am happy :D I am leaving the council too and got released from being a sister training leader. But guess what? I'm training! The Lord knows where to call his people.
New companion is Sister Guevarra from Himamaylan. She's 21 and she and the other companionship were very welcoming. It was new year's eve so even though I was still a bit dizzy from the travel we had appointments. Which was cool because I got to meet the presidency already. :)
I am excited of the new area. Excited about my new companion. Im excited for the new year :)

I wish you all a happy new year! Love you!
